Frequently Asked Questions

Q) How much does a performance cost?

A) All performances are individually quoted based on clients needs and distance travelled. Why not contact me on enquires@theburningbrummie.co.uk to find out with your specific requirements.

Q) Is fire performing dangerous?

A) Fire Performing always has risks. That being said, all effort is being made to make your show as safe as possible while giving your audience the illusion of great danger. I pride myself on being a responsible performer; fully risk assessing all of my acts and carrying £2 million public liability insurance.

Q) Have you ever burnt yourself?

A) Once I burnt my tongue with a match.... Ouch!

Q) What is that liquid you use to blow fire? Is it petrol?

A) It is defiantly not petrol. Petrol is dangerous, and it is proper only to use safe and approved fuels. I use premium grade dragon juice. Any trained fire performer knows where to buy fresh dragon juice, so if you don’t know I’m not going to tell you....

Q) Can I learn to fire perform?

A) If you’re brave enough to try, fire performing is enjoyable, impressive, challenging and an excellent talking point in conversation. NEVER attempt to teach yourself. You can find professional fire performers who are willing to share their knowledge or pay for training. Whatever you choose to do, be safe!

Q) Do you do fire performing full time?

A) This is a part time occupation for me alongside a full time job. If you wish to make a booking, I would appreciate as much notice as possible so as to avoid disappointing you.
